in focus: Aspen Historical Society.
The Aspen Historical Society had the stories — they just needed the visuals to match. Since 2008, I’ve worked closely with their team, especially their Curator, to bring local history to life through museum exhibits, brochures, signage, and educational materials — all while preserving the charm, grit, and spirit of Aspen’s past.
From ghost towns to gold mines, this project has been a full-circle collaboration built on open communication, shared goals, and a love of storytelling. The mission: create materials that feel rooted in history but speak clearly to modern-day visitors. Think big print, vintage photos, and thoughtful layouts that guide, inform, and leave a lasting impression — without distracting from the artifacts themselves.
“DeMay Designs has been so helpful in providing creative and unique graphics for our exhibit panels, catalogs, and marketing materials. Our working relationship is excellent; it flows smoothly and is mutually beneficial. She asks insightful questions, understands our goals, and delivers designs that effectively reflect our brand. We wouldn’t want to work with anyone else!”
